The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a source of great sadness to us all. For longer than most of us have been alive she has been an example to us all of dignity, integrity and public faith. We give thanks for her deep Christian faith and the fruit that it bore in a lifetime of faithful service. We pray for all the Royal family and especially Charles as he begins to serve as King.

As we look to the future, we trust, for ourselves and for the Queen, in God’s never-failing grace. As the Bishop of Oxford has written “We have prayed through all of our lives: God save the Queen. We now entrust Her Majesty to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and commit ourselves afresh to his service and to God’s eternal kingdom.”
