Let’s sing a hymn. But which one?
A modern song, or a traditional hymn; with the organ, a guitar, unaccompanied? And what about drums?
The music is too loud, too quiet, too fast, too slow, a song we sing too much, I don’t know it, …
Is there anything more controversial than the music we use and the songs we sing?
It’s a caricature, of course, but too often we think about our worship in terms of ourselves. But surely worship must be about Jesus, about the Lord, about the God who made us and died for us, loves us, and will save us.
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Ps 5:11
