Jesus left his disciples (left us all) and went back to heaven.
Some people would like to think that was that.
But that it wasn’t. (Come back next week to see what happened next!)
Jesus came to the earth to save the world, not as a tourist who came and then left.
He came with love and left with scars; he came to bring good news and left his disciples to continue passing it on.
So we must never think that this world has been abandoned by God.
The question then is, how should we respond?
