Warm Space – The Myrtle Café
The Myrtle Café at St Mary’s
Various Warm Spaces are being set up around West Berkshire and across the country as a response to the Cost-of-Living Crisis. At St Mary’s, the Myrtle Café seeks to provide a warm, safe place with a friendly and inclusive welcome. People can come along on their own, or with a friend, and talk to others over refreshments. Various activities will include practical tips and advice on saving energy costs and keeping safe and warm at home as well. The Café will also help signpost specialist support: please see flyer attached. The Myrtle Café opens on Monday 5 December, and then every Monday other than bank holidays. The Café will be open from 11.30 am until 4 pm, and serve tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash, and biscuits/cake. A soup and roll lunch will served from 12.30pm to 2 pm., supplemented by appropriate gifts in kind.

The Myrtle Café is registered with West Berkshire Council Cost of Living Hub
